We celebrate the International Day of Zoo & Aquarium Educators annually on the 2nd Thursday in November.

Why: 

The purpose of IZE Day is to spotlight conservation education in zoos and aquariums as fundamental to mobilizing the public to conservation action around the world.   

Join the IZE Day Online Celebrations! 

IZE hosts the regional celebration coffee chats on IZE Day itself. Meet with Regional Representatives and other conservation educators in your part of the world to connect and celebrate together.

Take the IZE Day Challenge!

Any institution/association is encouraged to post about education at the zoo and aquarium on Facebook and Instagram with the tag #IZEday2025 between Nov 7th and 13th. IZE’s Facebook page will share them.
