IZE Governance Structure
The Association is managed by a 14 to 16 member Executive Board. Only individual members and institutional voting members of the Association may be nominated for board positions. The Executive Board decides on all matters of the Association, as far as not determined otherwise by the Constitution. It has namely the following responsibilities:
• to convene the General Assembly and to decide on its preliminary and final agenda;
• to present the biennial report, the financial report, and the budget to the General Assembly;
• to execute the decisions of the General Assembly;
• to issue rules of procedure for the General Assembly and the Board;
• to secure the administrative services of a Central Office for the smooth running of the Association;
• to conclude contracts on behalf of the Association;
• to recruit, survey and recognize Members;
• to accept, suspend and exclude Members;
• to appoint members to work on sub-committees.
The Executive Board consists of the following officers:
- President
- President-Elect
- Immediate Past President
- Treasurer/Secretary
- Editors/Coordinators: Membership, Journal, Social Media
- Regional Representatives: one each for Europe/Middle East, Africa, East & Southeast Asia, South & Central Asia, Oceania, North America, and Latin America
